Happy Memorial Day! This weekend remember those who have sacrificed their lives to maintain our freedom!

Dishwashered Pyrex A-Plenty (sadness)

Another weekend come and gone. It honestly felt shorter than that for me, since I worked on Saturday - a crime, in my opinion. The weather was excellent though, so I did manage to get out to some rummage sales. Some were good, and some were bad (really, really bad - baby clothes and made in China junk galore! YUCK!). I found a lot of great things, but couldn't buy them either due to damage, or price - the prices were out of control! So was the damage. I found several pink Gooseberry Pyrex bowls, and all of them had terrible dishwasher damage - though Goodwill was still asking $4.99 for them. I also found some especially adorable made in Japan figurines that were severely chipped, or missing limbs. Anyway, here's what I could buy in one piece:

 The world's cutest deer. Seriously. $2.00!

 Christmas caroler bell and an adorable bunny.

.25 cents at a rummage. The guy I bought it from called it stupid junk. Poor pumpkin!

 

Vintage monster Halloween mask in the original box. I think it's a vampire, but it looks more like a glam rocker!

Nifty gold drink caddy. Now I just need to find more of this same glass to finish the set...

 Frosted Libbey glasses. I love the stripes and the horses!

Esso tiger glass, Hazel Atlas Studebaker glass, Libbey flower glass, and an umarked sailboat glass.

 

Vintage early American Old Spice mug - at first I thought it was faded, but I guess that's supposed to be how it looks. It was in the coffee mug section at Goodwill for .50 cents.

 Pyrex in the original box! Is it Christmas??

I bought this at a rummage sale from a nice woman who's mother recently passed away. She was trying to clear out some of her things. I got the box of Pyrex for $5.00! It's missing a bowl, but I'm sure it will turn up one of these days.

Colonial Mist Pyrex 401 bowl - not my favorite pattern, but for .99 cents I couldn't resist.

Holt Howard coffee mug from 1970 (love the handle), and a Glasbake mug - they had the matching baking pan, but it was chipped. I'm not the biggest fan of Glasbake, so even though I see it consistently, I really never buy it.

Finally found the Primary 401 blue and 402 red together at a rummage sale - $7.00 for both, since it was half price day! And both in great, shiny shape! Nothing like a complete set of Pyrex!

Rose depression glass candy jar. $2.99 at Goodwill - there's one tiny little chip on the edge of the cover, but it's on the inside.

Probably my best Pyrex find this weekend: a promotional Pyrex Brides Casserole dish with the cradle. Guess how much... Go on, guess..... $1.50!!

Really pretty rose patterned plate. It cost me a dime. Seriously. I think it's crazy how some rummage sales are priced like antique stores, and others are dirt cheap!

McCoy wishing well planter. It was full of ugly fake flowers, so I cleaned it out. Looks much better like this. I cut myself on a stupid (deadly sharp) floral spike too. Ouch!

Hello fellow thrifters! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was freezing here on Saturday! Brrrrr!! I braved the cold and managed to go to a few church rummages and garage sales. Here's some of the goodies that I found. Let me know what you think!

 

Hull kitten planter. It's a little scary looking, but it grows on you.

Really cute cherry patterned bowl. I don't know who the maker is. The bottom has a stamp that I can't read, and it also says 'Lead Free'. If this looks familiar to anyone, please let me know!

 

Creepy clown die cuts from Beistle. I buy all the die cuts I can get my hands on, so I couldn't pass these up at .25 cents a piece. A couple of them are from 1985 and 1996.

 I think I'll put these in my front windows for Halloween! Mwahahaha!

I also found a pile of St. Patty's Day die cuts! The Dennison Leprechaun on the far right is so cute!

I haven't found many Golden Nature Guides lately, so I was thrilled to find this one today for .79 cents!

 Vintage Christmas tablecloths.

Napco sleigh planter. .25 cents at a flea market. I plan to put some vintage ornaments in it for Christmas.

A General Electric daisy clock. It works perfectly, except the dial doesn't light up anymore. Still, it looks great in my kitchen!

 I don't think these are very old, but how can I not buy a flock of bobble head turkeys?

The Hazel Atlas salt and pepper shakers were in my parent's attic, and they gave them to me (heehee). The aluminum bowl was .99 at GW - Wear-Ever brand. I think it's amazing. I can't wait to make cookies in it!

 Fire King bowls. The bright colors are so pretty! I got them at GW, .99 cents a piece.

Owl picture. I found a lot of stuff from the 70's this weekend.

 

So I'm up in my parent's attic gathering up some of my old things that are stored there, and I look in this box and see two Jadeite bowls. I flip my lid!! My awesome mom gave them to me, so I can now proudly say I own real Fire King Jadeite

 Fiesta Ware gravy boat. It looks cute on this little yellow tray I found.

Mallo-Ware plastic cups. I also went to a rummage sale and this lady had a huge stack of Mallo-Ware, but she wanted $25.00. What can I say, I'm cheap. These two cups were .25 cents a piece. They were so coffee stained when I bought them. I used some serious elbow grease to bring back their color.

I got this minty green horse planter at DJ's Antiques & Consignments. I couldn't pass it up! It's unmarked, but I'm guessing it's McCoy.

My dad found these made in Japan duck salt and pepper shakers. What is it with ducks and top hats? Uncle Scrooge wears one too..

 

The white planter is marked Terrace Ceramics USA (.25 cents), and I bought it at Habitat for Humanity ReStore - they have a home goods department and they are literally dirt cheap! The baby boots planter is marked Relpo. Now if I could find one of those cute lamb planters.

 This isn't vintage, but I think it's whimsical. I got it at Ace Hardware.
